Maria Luisa

It's 10 PM and your doc is still empty.

Meet the implementation tool behind every Hypema'am engagement.

You know what to do. But you've been staring at a blank screen for an hour.

Here's what kills most programs: you get your homework, you're genuinely motivated, and then life happens.

A week and a half later you open the doc, re-read your notes, skim the resources, and think "I don't even know where the f*ck to start." So you don't.

Knowledge is not your problem. Implementation is, and it's not because of a "mindset" issue. It's because of cognitive overload.

And since most indie brands can't afford to hire done-for-you everything, you're stuck.

Motivation is not your problem

You know your business. And with my help, you'll know exactly what needs to happen to hit your goals.

And you can still sit in front of your computer for an hour and make zero progress on your homework.

It's not about your willpower or your mindset or time blocking or some other BS someone told you to make you feel like you're the problem.

It's a cognitive tax you pay every time you start from a blank page.

Starting from zero makes your brain do two jobs at once.

One job is structure: what goes in the thing, in what order, what it needs to accomplish, how to ground it in your strategy.

The other is the content: the verbiage, the thousand tiny decisions, the specifics of your business today versus three months ago.

Your working memory only holds a few things at a time. Those two jobs compete for the same cognitive energy, so either both get done poorly or nothing gets done at all.

You need help with the structure so you can focus on the content.

When you can start with a first draft, the work gets lighter. You stop avoiding it, because you can actually make progress without second-guessing yourself.

You know within 5 seconds what's wrong with a first draft. But you can stare at a blank page for an hour and still not know the next best step.

Everything that gets freed up goes where it should: the judgment only you have about your business.

Untrained AI hands you the average of the entire internet

Ask out-of-the-box Claude or ChatGPT and you'll get common denominator advice from the loudest sources, applied to no one's business in particular.

Then it agrees with whatever you suggest: one-size-fits-all sycophantic nonsense.

Generic AI is absolutely useless when the question is about what your business should do next and why.

Maria Luisa hands you the scaffolding

I built a password-protected chat trained on the ins-and-outs of our frameworks and loaded with the minute details of your business.

She knows your strategy, your analytics, your customers, your positioning, and how I think about growth and marketing strategy.

She can hand you the structure, a first draft, and the shape of your homework.

She's never a generic yes-woman, and she's trained to tell you when to wait on me.

You bring the judgment. She removes the cognitive tax.

Named after my no-nonsense grandma and great-aunt.

Maria Luisa

She won't hand you your final draft in 3 seconds.

And you don't go to her for vague AF "inspo." You can absolutely get a pep talk, but she'll bring you right back to knocking out your to-dos.

She's designed to get you most of the way there without the decision fatigue and cognitive overload that comes with the daily demands of entrepreneurship.

Yes, she runs with AI

I have a lot of grey area, both-and feelings about AI, so keep reading.

AI art f*cking sucks and if I see one more sh*tty farmer's market poster I will explode. No one should be using untrained AI to outsource their critical thinking. And if you don't bring your POV and experience into AI, it's hot trash in, hot trash out.

There are a LOT of problems with AI, and I don't use it lightly.

We need to tax and regulate TF out of AI.

AI companies are overbuilding data centers thanks to corporate tax incentives. And states are giving incentives for them to build while residents are expected to subsidize the cost of their power usage and grid strain. F*ck that.

I am first in line to advocate for regulation and taxation. IDGAF if it will cost me more.

And also, as a small, under-resourced business, the way I use AI helps me support my team, my clients, and my family as we all live in this end-stage-capitalism hellscape.

We're human-first with AI as a supplement.

At Hypema'am, we use AI to reduce the mental load from repetitive tasks and democratize our knowledge and experience. When AI saves us time, it gives us more space for the work that is irreplaceably human.

  • Meeting summaries with to-dos? AI does it.
  • Ad creative? Always human, from end to end.
  • A content brief? Human initiated, AI edited.

Through Maria Luisa, I can offer 24/7 support to clients that would otherwise sit behind a $3K minimum contract and a 48-hour response time.

Your IP is protected. It's never used to train AI models.

Anthropic's commercial terms prohibit training on API customer content, so that's contractually binding.

And your access is password-protected. I can see your conversations, because I built and tune your cartridge. But no one else can.

If you want access to Maria Luisa, we've got to meet human-to-human first. Because making your client context "cartridge" is a very detailed and specific process that needs my stank on it.

FAQs

Is this only for women?

Hypema'am was built with women, femmes, nonbinary folks, and anyone who identifies as a woman in mind. Men are welcome if you are ready and eager to be part of a matriarchal community and learn from a strong woman who knows her stuff.

Is Maria Luisa just ChatGPT with a wrapper?

Hell no. While Maria Luisa does use Claude API to administer my frameworks, everything in there is developed from my own intellectual property. I spent months taking all of my hard-won strategy, insights, and frameworks and externalizing them into a documented system. When you add that to your specific business context "cartridge," the output is specific, relevant, and helpful, and I've programmed it to tell you point-blank when the answer is "I don't know," or "check with Gabi."

Wait, so is Maria Luisa AI?

Yes. Maria Luisa runs on Anthropic's Claude API, and I'm not going to be cagey about it.

Two things to keep in mind:

(1) Everything programmed inside the chat is my own intellectual property, loaded with the specific context of your business, so you're not getting generic advice. In fact, I've programmed her to be brutally honest when she doesn't have enough data to make a recommendation.

(2) Anthropic's commercial terms prohibit training models on API customer content. That's contractual, so nothing you tell her trains a model and your business IP never becomes anybody else's raw material. I can see your conversations, because I'm the one who built and tunes your cartridge. But no one else can, including other members.

And for the record, I have a complicated view on AI. The environmental impact, the lack of regulation, the corporate greed, the AI economic bubble - it's got significant downsides. And also, as underfunded and under-resourced small business owners, sometimes we have to use the tools of the oppressor to get ahead. I have a lot of thoughts on AI and fair warning it's super nuanced, so be prepared to hold two truths at the same time. Here's where I actually land.
